Frequently asked questions
Pricing, transit, restricted goods, ordering and claims — the short answers.
Pricing
How is the shipping cost calculated?
We charge by chargeable weight — the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight (L × W × H in cm ÷ 6000). Air parcel lines: chargeable weight × the rate for that weight band, plus a per-parcel handling/registration fee. Sea lines are priced per kg by zone. Each line rounds weight differently (per 100 g, per gram or per kg) — see the line details on the Rates page.
Is the online estimate the final price?
No. Estimates are for reference only — the final charge follows actual weighing and measuring at our warehouse, and prices are subject to the latest notice. Oversize, remote-area and irregular-shape surcharges follow each line’s rules.
What does “duties included” mean?
On lines marked “duties included” (DDP), import duties and customs clearance are handled by us, so the recipient normally pays nothing more. Some lines cap the declared value — ask us if yours is higher.
Transit time
How long does delivery take?
Air parcel lines usually take 6–12 working days; sea lines about 13–34 days after sailing. Each line’s reference transit time is on the Rates page. These are estimates, not guarantees — peak season, inspections and weather can cause delays.
How do I track my shipment?
Enter your Royal Reach order number (starting with RR) or tracking number on the Track page. Events appear once the goods leave our warehouse.
Prohibited & sensitive
What can’t I send?
Weapons, explosives and flammables, drugs, controlled knives, loose batteries and counterfeit goods are prohibited — see the full list on the Terms page. Batteries, liquids, creams, powders, cosmetics and food are “sensitive” and can only go on lines that accept them.
Can I ship items with batteries?
Items with built-in batteries (phones, watches, electric toothbrushes) can go on lines that accept batteries. Loose batteries and power banks are accepted on only a few lines. Choose the right cargo type and the calculator will only show lines that can carry it.
Ordering
How does ordering work?
1. Get an estimate and pick a line. 2. Book online — you get an order number. 3. Send the goods to our warehouse with the order number on each box. 4. We inspect, weigh and confirm the price with you. 5. We ship, and you track it on our website.
Can you combine several parcels into one box?
Yes. Tick “Consolidation” when you book; once everything arrives we combine and reinforce it into one shipment.
Claims
What if my parcel is lost or damaged?
Claims follow a “trace first, then claim” process. Compensation and deadlines differ by line (usually within 30–60 days of shipping) — see “Billing rules, restrictions & claims” for each line on the Rates page. For high-value goods we recommend separate insurance.
Food goods
Can I send food?
Most lines do not accept food. A few sensitive lines accept dry, commercially packaged food (e.g. US Sensitive Line, Europe Sensitive Parcel, Colombia Special goods) when declared truthfully. Fresh food, meat and drinks are not accepted. Please check with us before booking.
